Eagles logoEagles Christian Theatre Troupe is based in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies.

Eagles is the brainchild of Audrey Dawn Bennett.

As a multi-gifted visionary  who has enjoyed successful careers in Health Education and Business,  Dawn has always had a passionate heart for Theatre.  Combining her Christian commitment, her compassion for hurting children and adults, her experiences as a High School Guidance Counselor and her love for Theatre, Dawn together with her long-time friend and performing arts collaborator, Cheryl Spence founded Eagles Christian Theatre Troupe.  With Dawn directing Drama and Cheryl directing Music, the duo has staged several electrifying, inspirational and award-winning theatrical productions for the past 30 years.

Eagles’ productions skillfully incorporate and colorfully blend Drama, Music and Dance elements to deliver powerfully stimulating images, sound, and movements that provoke, uplift and convey profound messages. These messages purposefully question preconceptions and notions of life and faith in an effort to transform them, using creatively portrayed biblical truths.

The Eagles Christian Theatre Troupe effectively uses this art-form to help hurting adults and children confront and release their pain, and lessen their emotional and spiritual struggles incurred through life’s challenges.

This message of healing and triumph has gained increasingly complimentary audience reactions throughout Jamaica and, in response, Eagles has added international performances to its repertoire. This has resulted in  growing demand for the Troupe to perform globally.

One of the earlier compositions from the talented maestro, Jon Williams (of Jamaican fame) this instrumental wends its way thru the crescendo of a rousing nyabinghi drum solo to a serene conclusion. ITB02 - Adam, Where Are You

ITB03 - Intreat Me Not (Ruth's Song)

This lilting melody, written (1982) and produced by Cheryl, is based on Ruth's biblical oath. An interesting factoid: this song was originally commissioned as a Wedding song and was later used by Cheryl herself for her own wedding. The song was adapted for the theatrical production, In the Beginning ...Jesus, and is included on the Soundtrack album by Eagles Christian Theatre Troupe.

ITB04 - Deborah's Song (Judges 5v3,31)

ITB06 - Lord, You're The Only One

A plaintive melody written by Cheryl in her teen years, this song speaks to the heart of the lonely. It was later adapted for theatre as the song of the biblical orphan, Esther, who later became Queen of Persia. A beautiful melody in its own right, production elements incorporated by the talented Alexander Martin-Blanken raise its evocative emotional appeal to an even higher level.
